It was a long process marked by unclear and inconsistent communications at times, but I'd also accept the explanation given to me that this was due to uncertainties around new tax rules that impacted me, and I will be returning next year. On a personal level, Ryan is a nice guy who was nice to speak with, but he sometimes assumed I had a greater amount of time available to read articles and blogs that Ryan thought would be helpful to me.
